That was a great knife at a real nice price. To bad seller has no honor, maybe you should send a link of this dialog to the seller.

What a shame that a man would sell his own integrity for a few more dollars. ::td::

That seller may not realize it, but he is the one who has lost the most in this aborted transaction.

Mike, there is a better one out there waiting for you.

I've been buying off the Bay for 10-years and I've found that, almost without exception, if you miss an item, it will most certainly come back around and you will usually get for less than the first one.

This is what the blade etch looked like when new.
I think that Clover/RCCo logo, if found on anything, knife, razor or box, indicates a fairly early time frame, but don't ask me to put dates on it.

This knife sold last night.

Mike had a bid in for much higher than it sold for but the jerk of a seller rejected his bid.

The seller gained a few dollars, but cut his own throat. REMEMBER HIM !
a rat i 662

The winning bidder was a newb with only 11 feedbacks. It's not likely that a beginner would bid that much for a pocket knife unless they thought they were being slick, and hoped they were scoring a rare treasure.

Remember when you discuss things like this on AAPK, there are often more lurkers present than members.

Everyone knows me as a pretty serious collector. I did an informal study a few years back, trying to see if my aggressive bidding was affecting market prices. I think I boosted prices at least 25% if you averaged everything, mostly by bidding against other serious collectors. If you alienate even one buyer like me, or many of you out there, you could be dumping a lot of potential income.
"A Ratboy I 662" will lose $100s, more likely $1000s, because I and others won't bid in his auctions!
Boycotts speak loudly!
