My football boys

Post by knifegirl888 »

Now that the football season is over for my boys, I thought I would share a few pictures. Football consumes our lives in the fall, and makes for one exhausted mom! Bret works afternoon shift, so I end up handling all the practices & games, 6 days a week. Tyler is 14 and Ryan is 10. Tyler's middle school team ended up 5-3. Ryan's Junior Little Eagle team ended up 2nd in a league of 15 teams with a record of 8-2.

You cannot see Tyler's number 62 in this picture, but he is blocking #29 of opposing team.

Ahh, the life of a sports mother. What fun. The boys are growing like weeds. Tyler is starting to look so mature.

8) Outstanding! ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu:: Great to see your Boys Playing one of the Best American sports we have. My Grandson is 6 and he watches NFL games on Sundays with me. I asked him if he wanted to play on a football team and he said "Oh no Poppa you could get hurt doing that!" ::facepalm::

Thanks, guys! It was a good season for both of my boys. Ryan is still learning, but he got to start this year on the offensive line.

Tyler was an middle school terror to the other teams. He plays offense, defense & on special teams. He had one game that he had 7 tackles & 2 sacks. At 6'1" & wearing size 14 mens cleats, the coaches loved him.... the quarterbacks on the opposing teams... well, not so much. ::paranoid::

Time is going by so fast.... just yesterday they looked like this!

Don't I know it! I went shopping today to get a gift for Bret's cousin's boy, who is turning 3. I kept walking around the store thinking to myself...where has the time gone? It was "just yesterday" that I was buying tiny jeans for my boys. I blinked & they aren't little anymore. ::shrug::
