Picked up this 5 dot 63047 at a yard sale last weekend, used but not abused ... been in the pocket since.
Would be nice if Case still made knives like they did then and before.

I don't "come from old money", but I have some. Going with French Ivory again today, Curtin Clark Cutlery.

Great minds, Tony! That's a good one you have there! I dug out a 47 for today also. Not nearly as old, but it's a pretty good one.Corn Creek Cutlery wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 11:08 am Picked up this 5 dot 63047 at a yard sale last weekend, used but not abused ... been in the pocket since.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
My favorite EDC is still my little Gerber US-1 .
4.24 oz, 8.38“ overall, 3.54“ D2 blade riding on ball bearings, brown burlap micarta handle , axis lock
It is, of course, MiC but a true “banger” for the money. It seems to be relatively unknown and IMHO vastly under appreciated
but sometimes I feel the need for some “heavy artillery”.4.24 oz, 8.38“ overall, 3.54“ D2 blade riding on ball bearings, brown burlap micarta handle , axis lock

Thanks for the compliment on the Oregon Grape pics. Pretty sweet Case Stockman. It is with heavy heart I echo your thoughts on the way they used to make 'em. Last week picked up the Shapleigh Diamond Edge. Just put a new edge on the Shapleigh in Ebony. Love how easy it is to put a razor edge on the old steel. And a Cut Co Schrade.
