trail wrote:Great barlows, every one. Big Monk, that Bear is a fine looking knife. I think the reason it has two pins is because it is bare-headed. Looking at the Bear Catalog for 2009, I think all the Barlows have two pins, except the yellow handle 4th Generation which has 3.

Thanks Trail ::tu:: I only have a few of the Bear & Son,but I'm impressed with the quality, and price !!!!! Have you used one for a long period of time ???? I was just wonderin' ,how the scales ,hold up ??,since they use the one pin / glued on process ??????? ::shrug::

Three from Lewisburg knife show. Top to bottom: Colonial single blade, Henckles single blade, Queen aluminum frame. All have bone scales.

Mike, I really like it. It has a little thinner of a profile and that really makes it feel good in the hand.

The first pocket knife my father bought me was an Imperial barlow...44 years later it is still in my collection and in fact still in my EDC rotation. Next to it is a much newer Boker in red washboard bone.

Some of the other barlows in my collection...

Here is a favorite, Queen/S&M and my all time favorite a Fight'n Rooster One Handed...

Here are some Bulldog Brand barlows that I just got in but they did not last long. They are headed to sunny California.
