Re: Got Barlows ?
Lets all look at some Ka Bar Barlow. I may have some Jacks in here and have them listed wrong.
Please correct me if I have any errors.

Hi Big Barn. Welcome to AAPK.
Looks like a great collection of BARLOWS you have there. Any chance of some closer in photos so we can see a little more detail?

Re: Got Barlows ?
Sorry for the lousey picture - camera phone. If there's anything in particular I can get a closer picture of it or maybe in a group? I doesn't help much, but when I click on the photo I get a larger image with a zoom-in feature. Still fuzzy though.

Re: Got Barlows ?
No the case is a hardware store display for 'Case' knives. It didn't have the orginal display board so I made one to fit. It is a little larger than it looks - there are three locking drawers for storage below.biglmbass wrote:Welcome BigBarn. Nice showing. Did you make that case?

Re: Got Barlows ?
Finally got around to snapping a pic of the Barlows that I currently have:
Top to bottom: Camillus "Tip Top", Camillus #50, Colonial "Old Cutler", and Queen

And here are a couple of the one my dad carried while he was in Vietnam (not sure of the maker--the stamp has rusted out--probably an Imperial or Colonial?):

Here is an old Nathan Kastor Germania Cutlery Works Barlow. Got some pretty "plain jane" horn handles on it and maybe the strongest backspring of any knife I`ve ever handled. Man you guys sure have some pretty fancy dandies in this thread.....thanks for showing them....

Re: Got Barlows ?
Yup, I`m partial to spearpoints too....I suppose since I`m old as the hills and so many of the older knife companies seemed to favor the spearpoint blades as a master blade. Somthing very noble and "old timey" about spearpoints.

Re: Got Barlows ?
Here are two other cases of Barlows. The table top CASE display are all Case barlows. T
he other 3 tier are misc brands. Again, no two the same. I kinda like the Barlow pattern.

Morglan, that old Barlow that your Dad Carried looks to be an old Hammer Brand knife. Nice collection of Barlows!

Re: Got Barlows ?
Those Hammer Brand knives, (the shell handles) were made by Imperial.
Nice to have the knife your dad carried.
I still have the Camillus TL-29 I carried in Vietnam.
It was issued to me by the Marine Corps.
