Here are a couple I had fun with. I've found that shooting against a white background is more difficult than using a darker back drop, and I found that I like art deco. I posed the knife against an art deco picture in a book (Romana de la Salle painted by Tamara de Lempicka in 1929). My wife thinks it represents violence against women, but I think it shows the hidden steel, sharp wit and strength my wife has. I used Paint Shop to adjust the contrast and color intensity, which I do with most of my pics. The knife is an Old Dominion club knife, 3 blade trapper, made by Bulldog in 1985.

Thanks Caleb! Hey couple of great shots there Rustle! I'm havin some fun today. Man I want to find some more of these solid cells in a bad way! There's gotta be more out there but they rarely show up.
Edge, that leather shows off the appaloosa and primitive bone knives real well!
Singin, it IS relaxing to try different arrangements and see what works. Your last pic with the blades all open is my favorite of the cells, its kind of like a box full of puppies (or saber-tooth kitties!) all cuddling together.
JTS is always saying to "tell a story"; I'm not much of a story teller, but I can show some stories I have read over and over again. And the glass I drank from while reading!

Well done again Rustle and thank you Paul for the nice comments. Gotta try some like your guys are doin! See if I can find some backdrops for shots tomorrow.
Here's a first attempt with an old 1929 Chicago Mail Order catalog. I'm pretty sure these knives came from this period.
Now for goofy shots!
How bout a little Spin and Marty!
Your camera should have an auto focus option, just about everyone does. If your camera is not focusing it could be to pour lighting, or a malfunction in the camera itself. I am no expert so I couldn't be sure what the problem is there. If you load your pics to a photo storage website, like photobucket.com, you should be able to edit the sizes easily.
Big Monk, sounds like you're pulling our
proverbial leg (s) a bit.
Not only are those fine photos you posted, most of your peers
(AAPKers) realize if you were truly 'Too' lazy the adding
attachment procedure would have been too difficult for
you to complete successfully.
May want to add a tablespoon of Geritol to your evening
brandy, that may help.
Here's a recent pic of my #1 EDC Cadet, showing
results of riding in same pocket with change.
So handy it has virtually retired the other EDCs
to no more than 'standby' status or specialized use.
Which could be considered as good...or bad.
