Perry and Joe Dirt have definitely given me the fever...
Here's another purty lil' fella...this one is a dwarf Jackmaster, seller described the scales as "duck feather"...showing a pic in the hand to show how tiny this little guy is...

Yeah, nice pics OH, that Buck shot is a dandy, looks kinda wicked, sort of like it could be a crime scend pic! And that Camillus is a real eye catcher, might just be the shot but it looks like it's got a real wide blade well on that knife! Very cool, I like the rail siding backgrounds, gives them sort of a hobo-esqe sort of feel...

i personally like the outdoor shots

i use a large leaf as a backdrop with lines that draw the eye in and then POW theres the knife ! like this .... i also like when you guys put your guns in too

Gentlemen, thank you for the compliments - hardest thing for me in photographing a knife is to find a suitable background; the rail and ties have nicely weathered textures to contrast with the smooth lines of the knives. I get good idea's in this thread - the big leaf idea is a dandy.

PS Here are a couple of Fighting Rooster pictures from another siding (never use the main!) The weathered tie imparts less of the green in a different shade than the rusted steel background does (the rail makes for a brighter picture) - taken maybe a foot apart and only minutes apart.

So do I....I snagged a pic off AAPK from a member who had an old Remington Jack in the pic with an old Colt Cowboy gun ...that’s one of my favorite pics.

Wiseguy...I love the leaf background....really made your candy stripe pop right out...great pic.

Bruce you do a wonderful job...I like the way you put the same knife in 2 different settings.

...I like both..but that Rooster blends in well with that weathered wood.,awesome pic,Bro.

Vintage Kutmaster Bird & Trout Knife and a Creek Chub Viper 8800.....both are from the 70's I'm guessing!

This is today's new arrival; a USA made, standard issue Schrade Old Timer 8OT in great condition that I bought from Scott/Triple-F last Friday (pretty quick shipping too). As the day was heavy overcast and about to rain I had to pull my old board out into the yard to have enough light to shoot the picture - under the tree's behind my shed (were the board normally resides and I usually shoot pictures) was way too dark. OH

Scott, I like the use of other vintage items in a picture - your fishing lure works well with the fish knife. I tried adding props with these Case knives several months back, but I don't think I have acquired the art of the prop yet - still working on that phase. The only one that works for me is the mini-trapper and decanter, my other shots look "busy" and contrived to me. OH
