I snipped this from a photo on Ebay. It is a shield on a Waterville Cutlery Co. jack knife.
Blades are hinged to the left.

Great Eastern made the Oregon Knife Collectors Club Association (OKCA) club knife this year, with a beaver shield on it. The beaver is in our club logo and is the Oregon State animal as well as the mascot of the Oregon State University.
Apparently they had some shields left over so they put some on some single blade trappers.
I picked one up at the show last month.

Two scarce Remington knife shields.
The first one is the Airedale shield from a dog grooming knife, the second one is from a small trapper. The H-T-T signifies Hunter, Trader, Trapper. This one was given away if you bought a subscription to their magazine.
