Re: Knife Photography
Seeing as how it was about 94 degrees and humid here today, I thought I'd post up this cool and refreshing shot of my Ulster Old Timer chillin' out in the snow...

Good idea Mike - think cool (is it working?)
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

You can say that again Zingin'.
Especially them levitating 33s, hard to come by.
Seems to me all red kanifes like the camera.
Here's a raised shield trappernut for example.

Re: Knife Photography
For some odd reason this old Imperial has always reminded me of mushrooms...perhaps it is the coloring, perhaps it is the hint of psychedelia in the design pattern, but I've always thought of it as my "shroom knife". I was browsing throught this mushroom book that i have, and thought I'd pull out the Imperial and snap a few shots. Would like to try it again with a little better lighting, but here they are anyway...(goofy, I know...)

If you think about it much (I don't)
Pnut pens don't get much respect.
A life spent basically as 2nd fiddle.
Just like Tonto, Babba Louie, Bullwinkle.
Sorry, that's the only lead-up I could think of.

Re: Knife Photography
Great pic Scott, nice idea posing it with the rod and reel! You'll have to try to take another one with a big ol' freshly caught trout in the frame, now that would be a challenge!

Re: Knife Photography
Thanks Mike! Yeah, that would be a challenge since I don't have a fishing license and there are no trout in Florida!

Re: Knife Photography
Yeah Scott, it's a great old knife indeed. I gave one just like that to a fisherman friend of mine for Christmas this year, he loved it!
Here's an old yellow Imperial of mine, perched a fallen paper tye dyed star that I thought matched the yellow...(((sheesh, mushrooms and tye dye, what kind of impression am I giving you all...I'm like an onion...many layers...)))
