The guy has a fake tested trapper for sale as well. Can't believe people pay to buy that crap. This seller is from Tennessee like a lot of othere that are peddeling fake knives. Beware when buying something from Tenn of kentucky.

All of these knives are getting ridiculous! I dont like all the china companys makeing the old patterns either. Really dont know if it hurts the value of the vintage knives are not,,,,just dont like it. Seeing the old whittlers and coke bottles knives comeing out of CHINA makes me freakin sick!

This is what really hurts the knife collecting hobby. Novice collecters buying what they think is something great. Later, the winning bidder will realize what they have is a piece of counterfeit JUNK. As a collecter of vintage cutlery for some 40+ years, it hurts me personally that these collecters are throwing away their hard earned money to these unscrupulous bastards. :x
Know, do you really want to know how I feel?

You're absolutely correct. This is why I am sticking to NEW purchases or buying just because I like it/want it, not taking into account it's collectibility

patch from what little information I have on Case tang stamps the Case 25 cent tang stamp was used from 1920 - 1940. It also lists the Case 50 cent tang stamp used during that same period. My limited information says that there were no Case 75 cent or Case $1.00 tang stamped knives made during that 1920 -1940 era but some were made in the Case Classic series knives of the 1990's. Hope that helps.

There was an authentic 25 cent stamp, the real deal is rare. I had a pic of one I took at the museum at Smoky mtn knife works a couple years back but can't find it now. The only pattern to my knowledge that had the real stamp was a 6106 green bone. The ones I've seen over the years had iron bolsters and liners with brass pins.

It's funny how this seller uses the same template for every knife. I guess they all have the same scratches and no rust after being professionally cleaned. The might have graymer or speeling ishues though?
