This knife is referenced in Ed Holbrook's book 'Official Scout Blades' and Joseph Kerr's book '600 Scout Knives' in the following manner; Holbrook #C1A, Kerr #CAM04BR and supported by the accompanying images.

This knife is 3.625" closed with a straight and model-correct bail. The fully etched main spear blade has almost no snap, no half-stop, and no blade play when fully extended and is nearly 100% full with evidence of light use and carrying. The other blades operate as designed and the awl/punch is nearly 100% full. The plastic pearl handles, believed to be celluloid, are slowly deteriorating (out-gassing) on both the mark side around the shield and the complete pile side but have been stable for decades. The lined bolsters, brass liners, and steel springs are in remarkable condition given the age of this knife.
