W Mills & Son Pen Knife, Tortoise Shell Scales, Sheffield England, Unused
W Mills & Son Pen Knife, Tortoise Shell Scales, Sheffield England, Unused. Beautiful 2 blade folder that I believe was made by a chap named M.C. Matthews who was 75 years old when he made the knife. It has great file work on the spine as well as jeweled brass liners.
The knife came from a collection where the owner documented his knives with notes and details, wrapped them in storage paper, wrapped the notes around that and stored them until they were recently opened after his death. So this knife was untouched for almost 50 years!
It's a great looking knife and sweet piece for your collection! Please remember to check out my other items.
- Has never been carried or used. It has some light scuffs and scratches. The blades have rub marks. I don't see any other condition issues. See the pictures as they represent the condition accurately.
- Smooth function opening and closing with snap on both blades.
- The total length with the main blade open is 5.25 inches, the handle is 3.25 inches and the main blade is 2 inches and the secondary blade is 1.5 inches.
- Knife with original owners notes and storage material.

WANT LIST: I do my best to maintain an inventory of interesting and unique knives. I'm always looking for single pieces and collections. My current switchblade focus includes Miniature & Keychain, Vintage Imports from Europe (Spain, France, Italy, etc.) & Asia (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, etc.), RPK's, Bullfighters, older Microtechs & Daltons and some other American Switchblades. I also like interesting miniature knives and arms, 1980's Import Balisongs, Coutel, Digby's (Graham Clayton) and older Great Eastern Cutlery folders.
ABOUT: I've been into knives since I was a kid. I always seemed to have a small accumulation of them in my dresser drawer for example. I started carrying one regularly in 1991 when I was in the US Army stationed in Panama. My knife collecting days started around 2010 and in 2021 I decided to become a dealer.
I'm still a collector so I understand the fun and excitement of finding a new treasure. Because of that I always do my best to give accurate information about my knives and their condition. I take lots of pictures and offer video's for all the switchblades and some of the other knives I sell. I research sales prices and other available information and have a great network of dealers and collectors to draw from. All that said, I still make mistakes so please let me know if something I say is innacurate or misleading.
