Schatt & Morgan made by Queen Cutlery in Titusville, PA. Peanut pattern # 20. This is the original 1 piece prototype that was made and submitted to the NKCA in 1999 for consideration for the 2000 National Knife Collector’s Association commemorative Youth Millennial Set. In 2000, 77 sets of knives were made, each had a red, white, and blue peanut knife, and came in a leather pouch. This was the original 1st piece made. This knife was sold through the Voyles Prototype auction in 2009 to raise funds for the National Knife Collectors Association.
It measures 2 7/8 inch closed and has white jigged bone handles. It has nickel silver keystone shield, nickel silver bolsters and brass liners. Both blades have ½ stops. The main blade is engraved “NKCA SAMPLE” and the small blade is engraved “PROTOTYPE”.
This knife does not come in a box.
The knife is in new condition, never used or sharpened. The blades are flawless, and the handles are free of any defects. The blade snaps good both open and closed.
