ADDITIONAL INFO:     A couple years ago I purchased some miscellaneous stock from another dealer who decided to retire. These Opinel knives were part of the inventory I purchased. Opinels are probably the most common and best-known French folding knife. They have carbon steel blades that are a little softer than the 1095 carbon steel we are used to the US. Opinel knives sharpened very easily and get very sharp. They are easy to resharpen also. I recommend building the patina on your Opinel as that will help protect the blade from rust. Opinels are inexpensive but good quality knives. I have a large what I use when working in my yard; it works great to prune roses.
