ADDITIONAL INFO:     I am not as familiar with the history of Boker USA as are many of our members, but a brief outline courtesy of John Goins' book, "The Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings" says:   Boker USA begin circa 1917, apparently as an importing firm For Herrmann Boker & Co. of Germany. In 1916 they gained control of Valley Forge cutlery which paved the way for their entry into the US cutlery manufacturing business. They then built a new factory in Maplewood New Jersey in 1921. They produce both Valley Forge and Boker USA knives until 1950 when the Valley Forge marking was discontinued. In 1969 Boker USA was sold to J. Wiss & Sons. The New Jersey plan was closed, and the knives were made in Apex North Carolina until 1984 when they were discontinued. The firm became part of Heinr. Boker Company of Germany in 1986 and is now an import agency for the German company. Boker knives of Germany as well as those made in the USA both have an outstanding reputation for quality. I don’t know enough about them to date them precisely, but I know most cutlery companies were not using Delrin handles until 1961, some even later. So, knife with Delrin handles was obviously made after 1961 and before the company closed in 1984. This is not a fancy safe queen, it just a good pocketknife!
