This is a **RARE** Very Early IMPERIAL KNIFE CO 2-Blade Easy Open Teardrop Jack Folding Pocket Knife with a Used and Sharpened Carbon Steel Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Used and Sharpened Carbon Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, an Set of Gold and Brown Swirl Celluloid Scales with a Chip Out Under the Front Easy Open, a Nickel Silver Crest Shaped Style Shield Inlaid Flush in the Front Scale, Three (3) Brass Handle Pins in Each Scale, Steel Rounded Bolsters, Steel Rounded Teardrop Shaped End Caps, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, Two Steel Back Springs with No Cracks or Breaks, 3 5/8” in Length, Made by the Imperial Knife Company in Their Very Earliest Days with the Earliest Known Tang Stamp Used in the Early 1920’s.

This is a very early vintage Imperial Knife Co. Easy Open Teardrop Jack made in the earliest  days when Imperial was making high quality knives. The knife has a used and sharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a common nail pull. Both faces have scratches from use and sharpening plus sone scattered light pitting and staining.  and then only a few scattered specks on either face. Stamped on the front tang is the earliest known Imperial tang stamp with IMPERIAL (in a full arch) (over) KNIFE CO.  The knife has a used and sharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull. The front face has some scratches from use and sharpening and quite a bit of light pitting mainly up the midline. The rear face is cleaner with scratches from use and some scattered light staining. Both blades have excellent and hard snap on open and close and very hard half-stops. The knife has a set of gold  and brown swirl of wood grain patterned celluloid scales there is a chip missing under the front easy open but you can then see how thick the scales are.  The knife has a nickel silver crest shaped shield inlaid flush in the front scale.There are three brass handle pins in each scale.  The knife has steel and rounded bolsters and steel teardrop shaped end caps. The liners are polished brass. The knife has two steel back springs with no cracks or breaks and both continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. This very nice vintage & Very Early, Early 1920’s, Imperial Knife Co. Easy Open Teardrop Jack Pocket Knife is 3 5/8” in length. Made by the Imperial Knife Company of Providence, Rhode Island.
