Michael May Classic Sheffield Barlow with a Wharncliffe Blade and Wharncliffe scales...Brand new, never used or sharpened. Great fit and finish on this knife which is hand made by one of Sheffield's truly great cutlers. This knife was made to work and be an everyday companion...
Blade steel: is from C80 Carbon steel from Sheffield, Back spring: from C80 steel. The Liners are from brass, and the Bolster is from English Brass with a satin finish. The pins are also from brass. The opened knife mesures: 6.25" in length, and closed it is: 3.5"...The Wharncliffe blade has a nice swedge detail, and measures 2.5" from point to the beginning of the tang. The tang stamp: "Michael May Sheffield England" The Scales are made from stabalized Amboyna Burl and have a beautiful grain detail. The knife feels great in the hand and has a 5-6 pull and good snap at closure. I have () of these knives in stock. The Michael May Barlow Wharncliffe is stunning!
