ADDITIONAL INFO:     This Gerber money clip appears to be a much older version than the ones I have seen from the 1980s. The one from the 1980s has a front and rear bolster but this version has no rear bolster. The 1980s version had two nickel silver bolsters, and this one stainless steel. It does not appear this money clip has ever been used, nor sharpened. The file on the manicure blade works quite well. I sold Gerber knives and gift items like the money clip in the 1980s, and I have been collecting some Gerbers since then. I have never seen this money clip before, not even in 40 years of following Gerber products and collecting some of their knives. A current search of eBay shows one like this listed at $166 dollars. Phil Rodenberg's book on Gerber knives says the Escort was designed by Bob Loveless and made from 1981 to 1990, however, the model he shows in his book has a front and rear bolster, obviously not the same as this one. I suspect this one was probably made in the 1970s, perhaps earlier but I believe this model predated the one shown in Rodenberg's book. An excellent addition for a Gerber collector.
