This is a custom made, automatic switchblade made by one of the best ever to make a custom switchblade knife. Anyway, if you do not know of him, it is not hard to see his work anywhere that you find all the older great switchblade makers. The knife measures 4" in the closed position.  It measures 7" in the open position.  The blade is made of S60V, a metal known for holding an edge, (makers like Chris Reeves, Spyderco and more have and do use it). The blade is hollow ground and razor sharp. The top is perfectly hand-filed as are the back spring and liners. The frame and front bolsters are 440 ss and the handles are dove-tailed into the bolsters for a perfect fit and finish. The blade and bolsters show a few light scratches from showing the knife, but it has never been used or resharpened. When the blade is released, it's like a rat trap, smooth but very fast and hard. The release mechanism is the rear frame and handle together, some people call it a scale release, but really it is a scale and frame release. The handles are beautiful highly polished mastadon ivory, with no chips or any flaws whatsoever, and they match. Thank for you taking the time to look.
