Re: ?
A quick look in Tweedale's Directory of Sheffield's Cutlery Manufacturers shows they were making cutlery as early as 1297.
They show a folder made in 1679.
Better research might get better information.

Re: Clauss, Freemont Ohio
Here is a Clauss marked knife I picked up some years ago for about $15 as I recall. I love the size (about 3 3/8" closed), it's old school looks, sturdiness and the practicality of it. It's a great knife that I put in my rotation. I love the bone! I figure this one was made by Case sometime be...

Henry Wilton - Germany
Henry Wilton - Germany. What a nice little well made pen knife. 3 1/8" closed. Ebony covers and integral bolster/liners. I'm trying to show the bolster liners in a picture. I don't think it comes across very well but that's my take on the deal. Both Goin's and Levine show this cutler in 1900 on...

Floyd. The Boker has a nice even edge. Not easy to do on a hawk. ::tu:: FRJ, They're great. Love the last one. Beautiful curves. Couldn't find the OH or HO mark. What do you know about it? J.O'. Thanks, J.O'., it's been a while since I did any research on this knife. I think it might be Russian.?
