Two more The Colonial main blade is loose and wobbly. Also looks like someone did a poor job of replacing the main hinge pin. The Camillus main is also wobbly.

Sharpening this razor was quite a challenge. HAAAARD steel! I couldn't get an edge started until I used a Smith's pocket diamond. The only diamond I have. Then I can't tell you how many hundred passes on my hones, then zinc oxide and finally 150 passes on the strop.Have any of you ever sharpened a S...

FRJ, I just looked up your Hessenbruch knife. Real nice and looks sturdy. I also saw a gentleman's knife with MOP in my searches.

Novel logo?

I interpret logo as: WILL "Bear" Inspection. All I can make out on tang is : T. Hes.............Bruch....the standing bear and an a word vertical with the bear that begins with M. I cannot find it in any of my references.

I finally got there by stropping with chrome oxide. I feel that I can get better but am satisfied with the shaves I'm getting now.My before and after stropping needs to improve, so I'm working on that.

Thanks for all the shout-outs! It was a good day. Went with my brother in law to an old fifth generation Italian barber. 80+ and still going strong. He's the only barber that I've seen that can do as good a job as my dad did; in fact he might have been able to have shown my dad a trick or two. A tru...
