Re: single blade trapper?

Sorry to be late back to this discussion. Yes that is an SFO for a knife club. I don 't have it to hand right now but I'll check the date for you. It's in the etch. This one is sn 150. Don't worry about it Phin. Everybody is wrong now and then...i'm proof of that. ::facepalm:: Hope everyone had a Ha...

Re: First Pocket Knife...What was it?

Old Blind Dog - my story is nearly identical to yours; my first pocketknife was a blue handled Cub Scout knife (no idea of the brand) at age eight, circa 1962/63. It got bumped down to one of my brothers when I got a Boy Scout knife in 1966 - haven't seen it since. OH Ps This photo of my Pack was t...

Re: First Pocket Knife...What was it?

Mine was a Boy Scout knife my dad gave me when I was 8 (1962) so I'm pretty sure it was an Ulster. I have no idea where it is now but I sure do wish I still had it. I have several "replicas" but none seem to measure up to that one.

I got mine the other day. The pen snaps like a gator, but the main blade is a weak sister!

Re: Why Has GEC Knives Fallen Off the Cliff?

After read though all of the comments on this subject I have to say that I haven’t found any significant problems with any of my GEC knives. I have over 550 and the number is increasing every month. Initially I liked the fact that they were a new company and tat the knives were made in the USA. Two...

Re: Why Has GEC Knives Fallen Off the Cliff?

I find the quality to be inconsistent. Wobbly blades and weak springs with no snap don't spin my prop. However, when they do their job correctly, they are excellent.

Re: Take Your Knife to School!

Cool old knife Joe! Funny you should start a thread with this name today.... My wife is a teacher's assistant at the local elementary school. She was packing up her lunch to take to school with her this morning, and she put an apple in her bag and started looking for a knife to take with her to cut...
