Re: 1983 Mule Day knife

No worries it was out of my price range anyway. I was just thrown by the tang stamp but it was just like yours so it must be real. I am not sure if there are many counterfeit Colonel Coons but I hear about Case counterfeits a lot. Anyway thank you for responding with the picture.

1983 Mule Day knife

Hey everyone, does anyone have a photo of a 1983 Mule Day knife. Just curious about the one posted on eBay currently. It just doesn’t look quite right to me. With all the Case counterfeits around I am wondering about this knife. Thanks

Re: Early Colonel Coon Barlow

No they all do not have his name on the inside of the liner.
It would be worth more to me having that added feature from a collecting standpoint. I think I remember reading something about what time frame he did that but can’t remember maybe someone else can help out with that.

Thank you for the info, it is a very well put together knife. It is now the oldest in my collection.

Hibbard spencer and Bartlett

Hi, I just picked this HSB up and was wondering if the OVB stamped on the bolster would have anything to do with who manufactured it? Also is there anyway to date them? Thanks

Pocket knives

I read somewhere probably on here about a new manufacturer of pocket knives. I thought it was in Iowa and they purchased equipment from a plant that had closed down. Does anyone know the name of the company, thanks.

Yes the Red Bone I have is very nice but my Blue Tic the front is damaged, you wouldn’t have any idea where I could find a better box would you?

They are getting hard to find, and when you do they command quite a price.

Re: Is it a Coon?

Yes I have 24 total. I tried to post a new thread about a two bladed Coon I have but it did not show up for some reason.
How about you, do you have a lot of them?

Two blade Coon

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share this photo, I was looking for information about this knife. The person I bought it from told me it was a two bladed tobacco knife. I had never heard that before but I liked the knife. It has a shape of a stockman, I have not seen another like it and was just wonde...

Re: How many Knives do you carry at one time??

I carry one in each front pocket, a small leatherman on one side and a Boker on the other. The Boker is very sharp and is used for cutting, the Leatherman takes care of everything else. ::tu:: ::tu::

Re: AAPKs first ever POS ROUNDTABLE 2011

Well I received my POS from Orvet today; I cut my hand opening the package, not on the blade but on the excess pin protruding from the handle. Once I spend about an hour on the bench grinder it will be just fine: lol:   . What a beautiful knife it will be a great addition to my EDC. ::barf...
