Re: It's a killer knives
I remember someone claiming counterfeits a few years ago concerning this seller, and the consensus was they were legitimate knives back then too.

That would suggest oilstone has metallic qualities, like a sharpening steel.

Re: Six Dozen Eggs And Two Quarts Of Honey
That was the best food gift- you didn't have to worry about anything spoiling as eggs, unwashed, will last for days even without refrigeration. And you know the resiliency of honey, it's even been found in Egyptian tombs still edible.

Re: Help with Keen Kutter EO Jack
A year ago I got a KK stockman, pre 1939, for $12. Blades heavily sharpened but tight and snappy after 80 years. These are high quality knives. The old ones were Winchesters and Napanochs. 😉 And the real early ones (1905 to 1923) were made by Walden. Forgot to mention that one, thanks danno. ::tu::

Re: What model Cattaraugus?
I have one just like it, that was a gift to me from ThomasG. Like yours, mine has some blade wear, but mine has a sizable patch where the bone was broken out on one end. It still snaps like a gator though, and this old steel is as sharp as a razor! It is really hard to beat an old Cattaraugus. Whoe...
