I picked this up Kutmaster recently. I don't usually collect this type of knife, but the price was right and it looked solid. This one not made in Pakistan, LOL.

Read the knife, dummy!
That thread title is directed at me, LOL. While at a knife show Saturday, I picked up this boys knife. It had all the look of a proper sheffield knife, with blade etch, "No. 6", and hallmarks on the pile side tang. If I had only read the tang a little better, it would have tipped me off th...

Re: American version of the Wostenholm Stag Handle Rope Knife?
Thanks for the replies. I can't find any images of a similar Kutmaster or Ka-bar knife. If you've got a reference, could you let me know? Here are few more photos. Here's a Kutmaster I just got off ebay a little bit ago...sorry for the poor pic, it was from the listing. Kutmaster rope knife.jpg

I'm kinda getting a French-made feeling from that knife, but that's just a guess. I'm thinking probably not German, as it looks like pins are NS like the bolsters. Nice one, anyway.

How about 3 Schrade 863's rehandled in burnt elk horn. The first two by Herman Williams and the last one by our own Glennbad.20240417_132259.jpg Oh man, I forgot about that one! Ya know, there's some knives I am super sad to see leave the shop, due to how nice they turned out. That's one for sure...

Re: Mark Hackney (aka Rattlesnake) The LORD works in Mysterious Ways!
Wow Mark, sounds like you (and your wife) have been through the wringer! I'm glad to read that you were able to figure out the cause and start to turn things around.
I'm also glad to hear that wife stuck with you when you were probably not at your best, and that this has made you closer as a couple.

Re: My BIGHEAD Mods
That's a beauty! Just my opinion, I like the look of the pile side better than the mark side antler on this one. I often find that when I am choosing stag for a knife, when it is done, I wish I had swapped the pile side and mark side.
Regardless, it looks sweet!

Many Thanks to Glenn (glennbad) for my special POS box. Judging by this wonderful collection I am not sure he is understanding the S in POS. There are several treasures here. And a few that I will be happy to re-gift next year. An F.A. Bower knife.... thats a new one for me. This India knife has mo...

Re: Mystery Knife Game
I don't have much clue about modern knives, but we can give it a shot. Maybe let us know if it is an American or off shore manufacturer.
I'll guess Rosecraft to get things going.
