YES! Thank you so much!
Hopefully I'll be able to score a nice example of her work.
Best,
Stephen

Re: Engraved Knife Handles -Artist's Name
Maybe "etching" or "scrimshaw" are more correct terms for her work.

Engraved Knife Handles -Artist's Name
Does anyone know the name of the woman who used to engrave subjects and scenes on pocket knife handles? I've forgotten her name. As I recall, she mostly worked with Case knives. But she also engraved GECs. I passed up a chance about 10 years ago to buy a peanut with a trout engraved on its handle. I...

Re: 19 Little Rattler
I scored 4 Little Rattlers. 1- red coral micarta 1-white bone 1-blue teal 1-kingwood. I plan to give each of my 3 grandsons a knife and keep one for myself to carry. I'm a fan of small knives although most of my GEC collection consists of large pocket knives. I've been collecting GEC knives since ab...

Re: GEC#29 Stockyard Whittler knife 2019
The 29 stags seem to me to be fairly expensive. I was able to find the last one at a dealer site for $149.00. I saw that another dealer had sold out of his small allotment for $159.

92 Antique Calico Jigged Bone
Last night, TSA Knives opened reservation opportunities for their special order #92. Required a $10 non-refundable deposit with an anticipated delivery date of September.
I took a chance and ordered one. Sold out quickly.
I don't think I've seen antique calico jigged bone handles. Have you?

TSA Knives just listed about one dozen of the Stockyard Whittlers in its online store.
Nice looking knives and about 3 of them have been sold already.

KJ:
That looks like an open crack.
I would return that knife, if that option was available to me.
Good luck and let us know the of the outcome.
Best,
Stephen

Re: Tuna Valley still alive!
I missed out on a beautiful Tuna Valley stag humpback whittler this morning on eBay. My high bid was $202.00 and it went for $240.00. I believe there were 2 other bidders. That's a pretty lofty price and lots of last minute action, in my opinion, considering that it sold on a weekday at 11:30am. I k...

Monk: Thank you for your thoughtful offer. Having read that KJ didn't have any mammoth available, I bought a Tuna Valley Cattleman # 538 from Frank's. Re: GEC # 97
I received the 97 stag today that I "bought blind" off of eBay from Circle A Knives.
I'm very happy with it.
Nice, fat stag with lots of character.
Sides match fairly well.
Fairly easy pull but I'm good with that.
Nice transaction.
Good service, beautiful knife.

Fyi: I was attempting to buy the same knife that you thought that you actually bought when I lost out. I usually can make a purchase via PayPal in about 60 seconds. Buy it, receive it, inspect it, and keep it if you like it. If not, put it up for sale and I'm certain that you'll make a profit regardless of your opinion of its appearance. I have a 97 stag enroute that I "bought blind" from 'Circle A Knives that I intend to handle in the above fashion. ...

KJ: Above are the photos of my 2 mammoth-handled sunfish knives and the story behind them as posted by my friend Big Monk in 2011. I paid $1995.00 for the pair shortly before Big Monk's above message.
Btw, I still own the knives.
