Cripple Creek does not make knives any longer. SMKW and Blue Ridge Knives obtained the rights to the name and have them made by Queen and GEC in 2009-2010.

That is just a tab that separates the blades during water jet cutting. It is ground off before grinding the bevels.

Nice group. I love Cripple Creek knives. I had a large collection and had to sell them off due to an illness, but I am back up to about 30 again. I have 6-7 hard to find pearls.

Claude was a friend of mine also. I made my first inter frame slip joint under his guidance.
He was probably one of the best grinders in the country and probably one of the most prolific makers ever. I will miss him.
