Re: 2012 POS Roundtable Anyone ? ? ? ? ?

Gino this was posed to be a POS giveaway. I just got your package(wrapped in bathroom tissue) and it is wonderful. This is to knives what kopi luwak coffee is to Starbucks. Kopi luwak coffee is made from coffee beans which have passed through the digestive tract of a civet cat. I got one for my bugo...

Re: 2012 POS Roundtable Anyone ? ? ? ? ?

I find it amazing with all the usual complaints people toss about concerning the USPS my local Post Office took the package without complaint or a second sniff. Of course when I answered the usual questions concerning the contents with an honest description the agent mentioned it would likely get sp...

Well goat it goes out tomorrow. Open carefully with gloves and I hope your Tetanus booster is up to date cause if you cut yourself with one of these there will certainly be an infection.

Re: 2012 POS Roundtable Anyone ? ? ? ? ?

Well it is always exciting to receive a package with a knife and some will have more than one. Some people have a very different view of just what constitutes a POS knife. I have found lots of treasures someone else tossed as a POS.

It's fun. ::groove::

I like spear points and long pulls single blade and Stag or Cocobolo or Ebony with a classic shield and stainless steel would be okay.

Re: Cutting Stag, Making the most of your rack.

Thanks Kaleb. You have done this once or twice I am guessing. Seems it helps to think in three dimensions and spend more time planning than cutting.

I am the kinda guy that cuts it twice only to find it is still too short.

Re: Bird season knives

I have only one bird knife. It is a Murray Carter. There is Hitachi Blue Super Steel sandwiched between SS layers. The tang has a distal taper. The scales are buffalo horn with nice figuring and there is a center mosaic pin. It has and unusual finish. Carter Knives are mostly left rough from the for...
