Re: Remington R205 value?

Duck man, your R205 is a very nice example in great condition. Pyremite is Remington’s version of celluloid. I have collected knives for over 55 years and Remington for over 25 and have seen fewer than 5 gas. The Pyremite formula is very stable. Your R205 is a rare color in great condition. I would ...

Re: Remington knives with an etch

Lyle, by the way , I really miss discussing knives with Jim. He was a true gentleman and so kind. I had been bothering him with questions since I was just a kid. He was always willing to take time to help out. I knew him for almost 50 years. Special man.

Re: Remington knives with an etch

Lyle, there are a few Unicorns out there like your FJ, the Scout leader with hat shield in Pyremite, extremely rare and I’ve only seen one. It belongs to one of our fellow members to AAPK. Another rare knife is the Bullet R1613 and R1615. Take care and remember if you ever sell that beautiful French...

Re: Remington knives with an etch

Lyle, your French Ivory Farmers Jack is truly special. I also talked to Jim back about ten years ago when he was still active in trading knives. He verified yours was in his book and was 100% the real deal. I know you never will but I would love to buy or trade for your French Ivory. 👍👍

Re: Tang Stamp Question

Tim, very difficult to grade without having the knife in my hand but it appears the main blade is original to the knife but the pen blade appears to be an add on. I believe it is the correct size and style but the stamp looks to be an after thought. I reiterate, without looking at the actual knife i...

Re: ID Help

Not sure who made those Remington contract knives in Germany but the ones I have seen are good quality users. I believe most of the German Remington contract knives were made in the 80’s.

Re: Pattern numbers

Harold, are you wondering about round vs square bolster? If so, that pattern came in both round and square bolster. Many models had both style bolsters as well as various shield types. Hope this helps,

Remington Gunstocks

This collection of Remington Gunstocks are not mint but the etch is still visible in 2. These little knives are tough to find. A couple of our friends that post on AAPK have mint to near mint examples and might post. R682 R683 R684 R685 F490F27F-742C-4DEA-8AAD-4DBB13274027.jpeg 8D49E97B-8182-47D0-9F...

Re: Is this a legitimate Remington tang stamp?

Might be a volume issue or possibly just doesn’t know but I have seen and experienced issues with this seller. Earlier I discussed several issues with the tang stamp that just did not look correct. Not sure why it was done because the knife body and blades appear to be a Remington but the tang has w...
