Re: The Missing IMG Button

Not for me.
One click and that Roosters head fills up my screen.

Appreciate the help but I'm not going to mess with it anymore.

No body's going to miss the two or three pics I post per year anyway.

Once the picture is posted give it a couple of clicks and it will expand full page  Well,,, did that,,,, now the pix so big I can only see about a tenth of it. Scrolling back and fo...

It's you all's site and you can run it any way you like but since you don't allow uploading from photo hosting sites any more how's about putting up some directions for the cyberly (yes,,, that's a word:)challenged like myself. I looked in the FAQ but didn't find much and then tried to follow some o...

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?

Not "EDC" because I don't bird hunt everyday but I've been carying my new and now favorite B&T for a couple days.
I'm not as crazy about GEC folders as most on here but this little GEC fixed blade is a real keeper.
What a sweet little knife!

Re: Knife Photography

LOL,,,, Thanks guys,,,, it's just one of those old 1095 Russel Green Mountain blades that I put some Cocobolo scales on. It's a hobby of mine. They're nothing special but it gives me something to do and they make good gifts and trading fodder. This one was my first attempt using brass liners. Crappy...

Re: Moore Maker Lockback Question

i was under the impression that a U after the number designated Utica made I'm pretty sure it does. I had a MM with a B that was made by Bear&Sons. Not much of a knife but I've heard the Bear made MM's were their worst so who knows. Can't really recommend GEC lock backs either though. I have a ...

1095 Here's a quote from Dan's web-site that tells the story better than I can. "Welcome to DT Knives I make custom handmade knives from bar stock, Nicholson files, leaf springs and saw blades. There are no patterned or "cookie cutter" knives here. Each of my knives are unique and bui...

Got this beauty from Dan Thornberg out of NM. http://www.dtknives.com/ Amboyna scales with brass pins and liners. This baby's definitely got soul. Re: dexter russell green river knife.

The buff doesn't have any of those beautiful golden streaks in it like I was hoping for. Just some splotchy bits of white here and there. Figures I'd get an uncooperative bovine. It did have a little translucent area on the heel on this side but mostly the same white stuff. Looks better in the brigh...

Re: dexter russell green river knife.

That's a great blade! I put scales on a two or three GM blanks each year for gifts. Here's a crappy pic of one with cocobolo scales I did a few years ago. I swore I was going to keep that one but my Vet/friend stopped by to give me some vaccine one day and fell in love with it so I sent it home with...

Re: Show off your fixed blades!

Yea,,, the original is neither good or bad, just not my style.
Kinda defeats the handy minimalist design of a B&T knife IMO.
I'll stick it back in the packing tube and keep it for posterity.

Thanks Sasquach

Re: Show off your fixed blades!

QSteel,,,, Very well said! True that GEC seems to have an almost cult-like following out there and good for them because they obviously try to put out products that are based on true craftsmanship which is so rare in today's instant gratification/disposable society. Truth is though, they're not perf...
