Re: Help with pocket clip screws!
I bought several stainless spyderco enduras recently and had quite a time getting the right screws. These knives were bought 20 years ago and put in a safe. Finally got the right screws for the clip. The guy I talked to told me that they have used between 45-50 different size screws since the 80s.

Re: First new knife in over 2 years** /???
Went to the Wanenmacher in Tulsa last week.Picked up a 943 Osborne and a Crooked river benchmade. The crooked river has become my favorite of all the benchmades so far.

Re: Spyderco Endura 4 impressions
I really like the endure 4, it just takes up too much room in my pocket.I leave it at home most days now and carry a case mini copperlock instead.

I have 2 cases in my pocket today.A mini copperlock and a small toothpick. The mini copperlock is slim and doesn't take up much room.

Re: Anyone ever buy a Jim Hooper custom knife
I think one of his friends must have told him about this thread. After almost a week he sends me a message.I usually deal with knife makers in my same state and they have been good about communicating with me.I will see how this transaction goes. The guy doesn't realize I could be a very good customer...

Anyone ever buy a Jim Hooper custom knife
I found this guy on facebook and his knives look like good stuff.Just wondering if any one has done business with him.He is out of North Carolina.Already told him I want at least one of his knives but can't get him to send me his address to send him a money order.Don't understand someone going to th...

Re: Why do some copperlocks have blade off center
If centering a blade is so easily fixed then it should be that way when I buy it new.Part of quality items are attention to detail on the small things like putting the blade in the center. After using 2 case knives for a while the blade did start rubbing and they were both sent back to case.It may be...

Re: Why do some copperlocks have blade off center
Also I wanted to add that I have several single blade buck and old timer knives that cost less than my copperlocks and the majority of their blades are centered while also being mass produced.

Re: Why do some copperlocks have blade off center
XX case XX I understand everyone has bad days but I have several protech switchblades and on each knife that I have the blade is centered almost perfectly. There is also more work that goes into a swithchblade than say a copperlock. In fact, I have looked at or handled at least 300 protech knives and ...

Why do some copperlocks have blade off center
I have been collecting copperlocks for several years.I have noticed on the newer knives when the blade is closed it is pretty far off to the right or off to the left. After looking at my older copperlocks most of the blades are pretty much in the center. Is this just a lack of quality control on the n...

Re: Is case stag getting hard to find again?
I was referring to buying new stag knives. I got a hold of a man that makes custom knives and he told me in 1997 there was a brief time that he could get stag but since then there has been an embargo. The man I buy my case stag knives from told me last month that he only had a few larger stag knives ...

Is case stag getting hard to find again?
A man that I buy most of my knives from told me 2 weeks ago that he wouldn't be able to get any more case stag mini copperlocks in the near future. He said that he could still get some of the smaller knives though.I asked him if there is or was going to be another embargo on sambar stag like 10 or 15...

All 3 of my leeks look like oldredbones knife.I picked up my last one last week at atwoods farm store for $29.99.That is the cheapest I have found them so far. This is a nice knife to wear with dress clothes on the rare occasion I dress up.Doesn't take up much room in the pocket.

Definitely agree with Bill Deshivis on the older Hubertus knives being of better quality than the newer ones.I started buying Hubertus around 15 years ago and they are much higher quality than what has came out in the last 4 or 5 years.

protech switchblades
I was at a gun range in Oklahoma city a few days ago and noticed they had Protech switchblades on sale for 25% off. I bought 3 of them. They were around 200 dollars before the 25% off and after handling them for a few days I like them better than the benchmade switchblades I have.I hope to buy 2 or 3...

Opinions on microtech and protech switchblades
Would you consider microtech and protech to be about the top of the line in switchblades? Really just interested in the ones that are side opening. Thanks
