Re: Rosco Italian switchblade

What do you want to know? It was made by Mauro Mario for the US importer George C. Rose company prior to 1959. The handle is cow horn. Is there a way to date these more to a specific date? Also, what determines value on knives like this? Is it mostly size or materials? I'm assuming a larger knife l...

Rosco Italian switchblade

I took some better pictures of this knife.
It is a Rosco, Italian made switchblade with a closed length of 5 7/8". The handle appears to be horn, possibly buffalo. Any and all comments, insight to age or value is welcome.

Ive now got close to 150 axes in all sorts of stages of rehab. Does that count? Hey Scott, I have seen some of the axes you restored at the OKCA show. They were really awesome! Between you and Mike, you guys have gotten me interested in axes. Show us some pics of the axes you restored. I would espe...

I am hoping next years show will give me more of an opportunity to shop. Best picture I got is one of my t...

Out of my comfortzone...Case XX Bulldog

A local auction house has a bunch of vintage pocketknives for sale including a Case XX Bulldog that looks great. Im planning on going to the auction tomorrow in person but you can bid via online as well. as of this moment, the bid is $150. Is it worth that much or is it worth more? 32.jpg 32-1.jpg

Ebony question

I was given enough ebony yesterday to scale up at least 12 pocket knives. I know ebony is a very dense wood. Does it need to be stabilized first or can it go on as is?

Ok, I know you are all waiting with baited breath......The results are in and they are a resounding YES! It went well beyond my expectations. The whole process of electrolysis only effects steel. It didn't harm the plastic scales, brass pins or liners. What I did was open up all four blades, attach ...
