Just got this knife: Tang says Union Cut. Co. Olean NY - it was listed as 1920-1952. Can anyone get a better date?? Knife in great condition, very sharp, loud snap. A great old knife.

Re: Mystery picture
Treefarmer, it is set on the standard recommended settings, not sure what they are. Yes, that deer was in preceding and following frames. This is interesting, no solid solution. Never heard of any swamp gas around here but that might be the answer.

Re: Mystery picture
Treefarmer, no I have never seen this before. Your pic could be a Bumble Bee. Blue, It can't be anything on the lens, the pic shows it is away, up in the air, the deer is looking at it. Its in the woods. A real puzzle. Thanks guys for the responses, I sure would like to hear if anyone else ever had ...

Re: Looking at gun show for old knives

Of the 7 options, I'll admit to 5 of 'em but leave out the 2 that concern investment and income. My wife probably won't agree, she keeps telling me to write down the values of these guns and knives so I'll know what to do with them when you're gone .

WallKill, Walden, NY
I just purchased a knife that says on the tang: Wallkill, Walden, NY. I know there is a town named Wallkill just north of Walden. I was wondering if anyone knows about this knife??

Hell, I could have shipped an M-14 in that if I could have got my hands on a clean (no records) one. I shipped two sea...
