Off topic, I spent about 1/2 hr talking to a guy who was locked up. He called a wrong number and got me. Nice guy as it were. A recording in the background kept reminding me of where he was calling from, lol.

I just hold mine like a Bic lighter and use my thumb ( like you would light the lighter ) to push down on the tang to open the knife.

I think you nailed it specgrade. My hobo rarely sees the light of day let alone convey food to my mouth. I'm saving it for a nephew. I gather that yours did not come with a spoon. Nope, no spoon.
