Re: "Wood" You Show Us Your Wood?

The one downside of being hobbiest, and very slow is inventory. Somewhere soon I need to figure out some more efficient methods, if I ever want to realize any future goal of a more realistic business. When you make knives like you do, ash, there's no way you'll ever be able to keep up with demand. ...

Got this RRR Hedgehog in the mail this week from ' Q '. He had posted a few knives to sell, and I told him I wanted this one to use and compare to RoseCraft. Told him I would post my findings after using it, but after receiving it, I may not use it. It is mint/new, ... looks better than the pics sh...

Re: Collections, Sub-Collections and Family Group Photos

Ray, The vast number of knives you have accumulated is truly impressive. However, one thing I've noticed while observing your photos that I find even more astonishing given the mind boggling quantity is that while you have a lot of very similar patterns, it seems there are relatively few actual iden...

I know we have some AAPK members who are real Queen experts. Hopefully one of them will pass by this thread soon and give you the info you seek. I'm not familiar with letter openers but I would imagine the OAL would be an important piece of information for identification.::tu::

There's also a standard 4 1/8" size Wharncliffe Trapper that I think you'd like. I'm not sure they were ACSB but they definitly were brown jigged bone PH-D2 knives. Their blades were odd or distinctive. The Wharncliffe has the finest point I've ever seen on a Wharncliffe. It's paired with a lo...

Might have to downgrade the ACSB Express to the ACSB Cattle Barge as it's closing in on two months since a new passenger boarded the train. But at long last this #19 Trapper decided to climb aboard and join the journey.

Re: Pocket knife jargon questions?

I use a folded business card to open the knives I keep in the safe (non-users) so as to avoid touching the blades and minimize fingerprints that transfer skin acids and oils that can etch/corrode steel. Sometimes I have to use a knife pick when there's not enough space to get a card between the tip ...

A group of flotsam I've accumulated that's soon to become eBay jetsam. These are emblematic of my collecting style: I tend to make impulse purchases based on an immediate emotional response when I see a knife that appeals to me for some reason. But later, if the initial enchantment wears off after I...

ODGreen #13 1/2 Congress Clerk with a #39 Sheffield Jack which is what I was carrying before the mail came.
