Re: Western L66 Question
Now that you mention it, I bought a 66 that was heavily rusted on the tangs around the handle. Deeply pitted. But the blade was still shiny. Hmmmm

Re: Help with Keen Kutter EO Jack
A year ago I got a KK stockman, pre 1939, for $12. Blades heavily sharpened but tight and snappy after 80 years. These are high quality knives.

Surprised the hardness is not higher on 440 V. I thought all those hi-tech steels were closer to RC 60.

Deepen nail nick?
I bought a nice WWII-era Pal Cutlery 2-bladed pocketknife. I wanted to EDC it. But the nail nick on the main blade is very small and shallow. Is there a way to make this deeper so I can open the blade without fighting it so much? Maybe a Dremel? What attachment?

Was looking for one of those for years. Then I found an almost-new script-tang one for cheap. Recently got a NIB 703 from pawnshop. Did the older script tang ones have 440C steel blades?

,20 seems plenty stout already. Not sure what you will gain going to .25. Just my 2 cents.

Solingen-made folders
My friend just gave me his 2023 Boker catalog. I had read a while back that Boker (Solingen) was stopping traditional (stockmans, barlows, copperheads, etc) models. Looks like that was correct - almost none of these shown in the Solingen (most expensive - $200-600) section of the catalog. These patt...

Who makes these new Remingtons? I have one of each of the older Camillus-made ones. Great knives.

I have a Case "Caliber" Mako folding knife - all zytel frame. Very light, blade somewhat thinner than regular model. Seems like I have seen an X-changer in this format - or maybe not?

Case blades
I see that most Case 6318 medium stockman knives have a Turkish clip main blade. Once in a while I see one with a regular clip main blade. All have the same pattern number. Why does Case use two different blade shapes and the same model number? Do they do this with other patterns?

Think they made several models that were dead ringers for Rigid USA fixed blades. Had to look close to tell difference.

Would stay far away from Ecop. Bought two Case knives, they send some off-brand Chinese knives. No way to contact. They have tons of negative feedback also.

Just got a like-new Camillus 826 two-blade knife for $15. I was wondering if there is a term to describe the curved, pointy secondary blade.

I can't afford a Ferrari or a custom made English double barrel. But I can afford a high quality pocketknife, so I don't carry any "good enough" cheap knives.

To think Avery is not guilty you would have to believe 1. Cops planted her car in his junkyard 2. Also planted key to her car in his bedroom, and 3. Planted her burned bones in a fire pit in his yard. Not likely.
