Picked this one up today. Long pull master, long spey blade, and a punch. Older repair on front scale but displays well.

CASE XX 61013 "baby hawkbill"
Hi folks, I was wondering if anybody has any 61013 pattern Case knives. A couple of years ago I was at a show and a fella had a green bone Case he referred to as a "baby hawkbill". I had never seen one and the guy showed me a book that referenced the knife as a 61013 pattern. It looked exa...

Re: Case 5172 Bulldog knife, no XX stamping?
Your knife does appear to be an older piece. My gut tells me that the bolster is doing an incredibly good job of covering the XX's on a 40-64 era stamp.

Re: Illinois now legal
~Q~ , As noted in my previous post there are 4 exemptions that allow for a company to ship switches and autos across state lines. I personally fall into one of those categories and thus could order and receive the knives. However, that does not preclude me from state, county or municipal regulations...

Re: Illinois now legal
Illinois has always been on the "hind teet" so to speak on just about everything except their liberal views (thanks Chi-Town). In theory those who possess an FOID card have gone through an extensive background check and are free from criminal history. The fact that Illinois has "legal...

Re: CASE HELP . . TESTED FRAME ???
Thank you MrBlister, great looking group of knives. I think I understand a bit now, though I see I need to educate myself more on the differences in the same patterns as they transitioned from era to era. I apprrciate you taking the time to chime in and sharing the photos and the links.

CASE HELP . . TESTED FRAME ???
OK folks here goes me showing my ignorance. I have bought, sold and collected pocket knives for some time now. I have heard the term TESTED FRAME over the years but have just come to the realization that I actually do not know what it means. Can someone give me a "CASE XX FOR DUMMIES" expl...

Re: Anyone heard of this???
Good looking knives Dave, This style of knife never use to interest me. As I keep on collecting I have come to appreciate the history as much as the knives themselves. Don't know if i'll ever come up with the mate to it . . but at least now I know what to look for.

Re: Anyone heard of this???
I wanted to say thanks to everyone one who replied thus far. Some absolutely great info . . . I love the history. I note it was stated the knives had no nail pull. Mine does as can be seen in the pics . . near point of blade. If the blades were hand forged it could be possible the pull is original. ...

Anyone heard of this???
I got this old single blade Jack knife in a lot I purchased recently. The blade just below the spine is stamped CHRIS WOLF. I had never seen or heard of this market before. According to Goins it dates 1920-1930. I was wondering if anyone was familiar with this branding and if so is there any collect...

DOUBLE SHIELD CASE
A friend of mine stumbled on this Case tested era knife. He has told me that it has the circle C tang stamp on all three blades, no pattern number, and as you can see a shield on both handle scales. I am not sure but i believe it to be a 94 pattern. I would like to hear any thoughts as to the two sh...

RESCUED ROOSTERS
I have just come by a good number of Fight'n Rooster knives. These knives came from a Master Dealers estate. I had an opportunity to acquire a number of knives from this estate about a year and a half ago and these were found by the family during a recent clean-up. I am really not too keen on Rooste...
