Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups

Picked up a decent 5265SAB folding hunter, 1965 to 69, pretty nice stag, looks like factory edges but does have some pitting.

Re: What is Your Latest Old Schrade?

Joe, missed that knife, a real beauty. Took a gamble on an auction with poor pictures, was not sure if it was an unused knife or a heavily cleaned knife. What showed up was an unused 3 3/8 Schrade Cut Co ebpny sheepsfoot jack. Factory edge and blade finishes, all steel construction with brass pins s...

Thanks Joe, I like old knives that show honest use also, whoever had that EO knew how to put an edge on a knife, it's a razor.

Re: What is Your Latest Old Camillus? (pre-1960)

Couple decent early Camillus jacks, a 3 line with arched pen easy open jack and a nice bare end 4 line jack, this knife with hammered pins and early bone is an example of why I don't believe the tang stamp charts for 4 line knives.

From my small, but diverse library. Re: Lets show some Old and Rare ones.

Found a 1910 to 1930 Passaic Knife Co Newark New Jersey 3 3/8" bare end jack. Not a whole lot known on them. The bone jigging is almost a basketweave or herringbone jigging, I have heard it called New Jersey style. Knife is pretty much relic condition but still has a decent old look to it.

Re: The Venerable Old Barlow

Picked up an interesting plain bolster Winchester barlow. Winchester barlows are not easy to find in good condition, the plain bolster one is slightly longer, about 1/8" and has a slimmer profile and slightly longer blade. Not sure which is older the plain or the Winchester logo one.

Re: The Venerable Old Barlow

Iman, those are some really nice GEC's, real beauties. A Brantford Cutlery Co Never Dull American Barlow, 1910 to 1930, supposedly a line of knives sold by Butler Bros Chicago. They did not make knives, Brantford's are thought to be made by Camillus. This appears to be an early barlow, hammered pins...

Hate using the word rare but I picked up a candle end 3 1/2" Schrade Cut Co Mother Of Pearl jack the other day that I think qualifies as rare. I don't recall seeing many regular jacks made by Schrade in MOP, mainly seemed to be used on small gentlemans knives. Happen to have the same pattern in...
