Re: Show off your fixed blades!
My new RW Loveless designed Beretta. I have had a black handled copy for several years, and they are excellent knives. This orange handle would actually be a better field knife than the black. If you've ever set your knife down while working in the woods, you know what I mean. Loveless.jpg Nice! Wh...

Exactly, I think (though mine had a small bail pinned to the butt end).

Geez, that's overpriced.
I had (but lost) a Ti-scaled version of AG Russell's smallest penknife, and I think I paid $30 for it.

New York Knife Question
I noticed Cooper Cutlery is currently making knives with a New York Knife Co. stamp; which as I understand, was one of the companies that, eventually, became IKAC/Imperial Schrade Corp. I am wondering, was it a trademark that stayed with Schrade until '04, or was it something that lapsed? As I'd ass...

I can get mine open without fingernails, so I cease to see the point why you'd do this with a Cheetah.

Let me get to digging. Quite a few missed the POS Exchange this year, and I know I have a box full of knives I intended to fix myself, but never got aroudn to.

So you don't accidentally stab yourself. The sheepsfoot allows for a non-pointy blade that still has a tip good enough for scoring stuff.

Did the playmat and cars come with it too? ;) I loved my hotwheels and matchbox cars when I was young.... I also collect a lot of diecast, and the stuff's built up over the years. Part 2; Utica Kutmaster Girl Scout knives. This pattern used a green celluloid that was notorious for outgassing. This one already is showing signs. IMG_20240325_162425.jpg Not so much, but I'll keep an eye on it. IMG_20240325_162505 (1).jpg Both will likely get rescaled soon. Colonial Swiss Master....

Re: Unique Marbles Hatchet Question
Greetings! That's not Marbles, it's W. Marples and Sons out of Sheffield England. They made tools, chisels, hatchets, etc. and I believe they're still in business today. Started in the 1800's. Too deeply ground and over polished to have any value. Eric I had figured as such, given this is a style o...

Not sure about that one, as I'm half certain that's one of the Queens that's really a rebranded Rough Ryder.
However, I think a mix of Utica and Bear and Son are making the current ones.

Nice find! Real Old Timers (not the Taylor junk) are getting harder to find, and the prices just keep creeping up. Used to be, you could buy a near-new USA 34OT for the same price a new Taylor is, but not anymore. \

Here's a cool little knife I just got off Amazon. Nice! Looks to be just about right for just throwing in your pocket and getting to work. Looking at Amazon, it's a Sanremu product. If it's anything like my 7010, it's definitely excellent bang for your buck. If only I hadn't blown my hobby budget a...

Maglite LED Solitaire, cheap pen, Mac Tools pocket pry bar, Klein lockback, Leatherman Rebar and Knipex 125mm Cobras. The Mac is a game changer. Basically a pocket screwdriver with a curved tip, it gets into more places and offers more leverage than the gimmicky EDC pry bars many places sell. Went o...

How to Trade--Without Getting Shafted?
I am in the process of getting ready to basically use a lot of unwanted diecast and knives as trading fodder with the owner of a local antique store. However, I'm kind of clueless about the whole thing--usually, when I sell/trade something, it's at my cost (which usually tends to be what it's worth)...
