Re: Ruined knife
Can find some made in the 50's and up into the seventies, and maybe even later. Are of not much value. There are some more elaborate models out that fetch a better price. But In my opinion they are on the lower end of a collectors items.

Re: Schlieper Knife with Rare Stamp
Not sure this will add to the knowledge of this knife much. But I have a fixed blade stamped Korium, made in Solingen. There is some ads I have seen with a ball and claw dagger, a nude lady, and a bone handled knife with a eagle for a pommel, they are all marked Solingen Korium, made for export to t...

Fixed blade date identification
004.JPG 002.JPG 001.JPG Was wondering the date on this Pal knife, some ppl think 1940 to 1953, when Pal bought Remington, but I'm thinking 1924 to the mid 30's, cause of the markings on the tang, which is my understanding say made in Germany in French. Here are a few pic's, and a pic of dates of th...

Re: Questions about an old fixed blade!
I was able to finally get into the back of my safe today and dug out a knife that my grandfather gave me a long time ago. I was hoping that someone could help me date it and also what kind of value it has. It's not for sale as I'm sure it's sentimental value far exceeds its monetary value. I was ju...

Gustav, Genschow Co. (GECO)
003.JPG 002.JPG This knife was made by the Genschow Co. in Solingen Germany. I know he was a distributer of many products, mostly ammunition, but have seen a few blades with his name on them. No one seems to know anything about the age or markings on these knifes. I believe his name is Gustav. Ppl ...

Re: Fixed blade Schmidt & Ziegler
Looks like 1950-early 1960's to me.There were many knives coming out of Germany in that era that sported stag handles and colored spacers;almost generic. I have quite a few of them with various names on them and they all seem to be of decent quality. That's what I was thinking, most of my older sol...

Fixed blade Schmidt & Ziegler
008.JPG 007.JPG 006.JPG Here are some pic's, was wondering age. Know they made knifes from 1930-1972, but was wondering if anyone could tell age by the number on the tang, as this knife is 5313, with no bull or Toro marks. I don't have a clue. PS, know they were imported from some firm in Kentucky ...

Just got this Solingen in the mail from France. It's distributed by Gustav Genschow (GECO). See his stamp on a lot of old ammo and firearms, but on a blade seems to be quit rare, either way, nice Solingen for $28.00 shipping included.

Recent Puma acquisition .. . Rooskied a (# 909-J shaken NOT stirred - see manual) The odd blade stamp intrigued me. Sent pic to THE Puma guy.. He confirmed not only PRE 64 but It was 1956-58 .. .
