I have an affinity for celluloid. No other synthetic handle material quite matches it’s vibrancy.

I bought a couple of the 35 cattle knives, one for the collection and one to use. The first one came in a couple days ago. Really nice hefty cattle knife.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?

I got this beauty back from glennbad recently. He did an amazing job on the stag and it’s thin too. I haven’t changed up my edc knives in quite a while but I had to throw this one in my pocket. Re: I sincerely hope we don't see this happen.

I have purchased many knives since I started this thing in 2007 and I never bought a single one with the thought of flipping it or ever making a profit on it. But over the years I have coonfingered and chickeneyed knives for a very long time and then released them, only to buy more. Some I have gif...

Re: What is Your Latest Old Schrade?

Picked up this interesting Schrade Walden 861 stockman. This knife came from a group several years ago from the Schrade factory collection. It's an early Walden as all 3 blades are stamped. It has the typical milled liners, but also has fancy worked backsprings. It also has an E stamped before the 8...

What you have is a 2153, it definitely used to have a bail and chain. As far as cleaning goes I would not do anything more to it than cleaning active rust, dirt and grime. Less is more, polishing is not good. It looks good as is if you ask me. Here’s a catalog image circa 1926. 9D5788F9-FD98-49C5-8D...
