Re: Southington Cut Company

You wouldn't pay more than $15 for a knife from a company that stopped production in 1905, and seldom you find knives from this company? I like the Southington brand too but you can't get much less knife than a barehead, single blade jack with wood handles. I'd be hard pressed to put $15 in it given...

Re: Southington Cut Company

That's what I was thinking, I might pay up to $50 since I really like that brand, but for any more than that it's not worth it.

Re: Western Tang Stamps

Have an idea on the year of that Western? My 652 has the same exact tang stamp.

Southington Cut Company

I love Southington Cut Company knives, but I believe the seller of this knife at an estate sale wants too much. What's the most you guys would pay?

Re: Case Cheetah - 6111 1/2 SS - Year 2002

Once you find out what you want for it as far as a price let me know, it's a beautiful knife. Also if you decide you would rather trade it, I have Case, Kabar, Buck, Western, Remington, and possibly some other brands to trade. Please let me know,

Thanks
Brandyn.

Re: Some of my Western collection

Yeah Western's are beautiful knives. It's tough for me to choose my favorite brand of all time, they are definitely neck in neck with Burkinshaw. Too bad you can't go back in time and buy all those old Westerns. Being located in Nebraska, Western knives were quite common here when I was a kid, and w...

Re: Have this old Remington Double Blade Pocket Knife

That sounds right to me, I've been trying to clean the blades up but having no luck, I tried using Noxon metal polish, any more suggestions? Probably going to be an R8003. That's one of the few Remington's that doesn't have a tang stamp on both blades. The file is generally unstamped. Nice old knife.

Re: Have this old Remington Double Blade Pocket Knife

Thank you, and all that you can see on the blade is the Remington logo in the small circle that says made in USA around it, and that is very faint due to the blade being black. The file does not have a number or stamp on it as well, only the master blade. Nice looking little Remington there. Not my ...

Re: Some of my Case knives

Thank you! Do you have any idea about the dots on the tang stamp between Case and XX as well as the one at the end? I've never seen those before.

That's a beautiful Burkinshaw knife you have, Burkinshaw is my favorite knife brand of all time. Feel free to check some of my posts in forums and see if you like any of the knives I posted. I still have a ton not posted, don't believe I have any Quill though.

Have this old Remington Double Blade Pocket Knife

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and I have this old Remington pocket knife that I would like some more info about. The blades have turned black, not sure whether someone turned them black or what, but it makes the tang marks basically impossible to read. I am fairly certain it's 1933-1935 due t...

Thank you, I look forward to using this forum regularly. I am hoping to see some really nice knives, especially ones I haven't seen before. The struggle continues for me everyday to find more Burkinshaw knives, they are definitely some of the most rare knives out there. Welcome to AAPK and the Buck ...

Some of my Case knives

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum so I'm beginning to post some of my knives.
