Re: What's wrong with the knives made in China?
The one thing I really don't like is how many pure ripoffs that are coming out of China. A 12 dollar shipped to your door free Chris Reeves Sebenza, really?? Those type are knives I will never knowingly buy ever. I keep seeing more and more different brands they are copying too. I say don't feed the ...

Re: High Quality Chinese
I decided a few weeks back to try a Kizer model KIi4419A4 as my first blade from them. I'm impressed with it's overall quality. It's certainly as well built as any factory knife I've ever owned. The fit, finish and lock are as good as anyone's. Plus good quality materials, sculpted aluminium scales,ne...

Re: Buck 721 Slimline
Thanks again for the info about Walmart having these Buck Slimlines . I went online and bought one the same day. Great US made knife for a price that's hard to beat. Got it honed and stropped and it now part of the EDC collection I use daily.

Re: Are Kershaw flipper open knives legal in Pennsylvania ?
I use this site for free info on Pa laws. It's part of the site Knifeup.com and has some good info on all 50 state laws on knife possession and carry. http://www.knifeup.com/pennsylvania-knife-laws/
It's a free site with some interesting things on knives in general too.

Does anyone else own a Kershaw Speedform II ?
I got this knife a few yrs back of a doctor that said no matter what he did he couldn't sharpen it. I was wondering if anyone else has one like it? The doctor was the only other person I've come across that owned a Speedform II. It has an Elmax blade and is the best all round steels money can buy fo...

Re: STAINLESS OR CARBON?
I actually prefer stainless over carbon. As I can get either equally as sharp with no problems at all really. Given it is well made and properly tempered steel. I own both but stainless absolutely dominates my collection. Simple fact it is a lot less maintenance imho. I've included picture an old Ge...

Re: Kershaw in the pocket?????
I carry this Skyline a lot and is one of my all time favorite Edcs. It was the first Kershaw I bought in the 14c28n steel.Been carrying one since Kershaw first offered it for sale. This steel has proven it's self very, very worthy in toughness, stain resistance and edge holding properties to me. Threw...

Re: Cleaning your modern folders
I just use some compressed air and for oil I only ever use Quick Release every couple month as it seems to last the longest of anything I've ever tried so far. If they get really junked up I take them apart and use a little bore solvent and then re-oil them. Had one fall into a mud pit recently and ...

Re: Buck 721 Slimline
I never knew Buck had another knife along the Spitfire line. Thanks for the info missed this one somehow?? But I think I'm going have to buy one two and add them to my collection of Buck. One for the collection and another to carry as the Spitfire is one of my all time favorite Buck EDCs now.

Re: Does anyone else use rouge on cardboard to strop their e
Thanks for the reply Unk. You're the first person I've run across that I haven't taught this way strop an edge. Don't think it's a very much practiced way to maintain an edge. Yes indeed I'll agree with you there only way to finish an edge from my bag of tricks. I have a friend of mine calls it scar...

Re: Does anyone else use rouge on cardboard to strop their e
Hello and thank you for the replies.. I've added two photos sorry about the quality but it's the best cam I have at the moment it's on my phone. The first is a photo of the mirror edge on a Spyderco Native made from S30V. Thought I'd show it as I've read it's supposedly notoriously difficult to shar...

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Hello I'm new to this forum. But I like to add my two cents worth as to my favorite carries. It's usually one of two knives I carry A Kershaw Skyline or my Buck Spitfire. Both are hard to beat as they are both USA made and the standards of quality used in making them by their respective makers.

Does anyone else use rouge on cardboard to strop their edge
Hello I'm a bit curious if anyone else uses an old school technique to strop their edges as I do? I've been using this same rouge on cardboard for yrs and have never really found a better or easier way to finish stropping my edges. I use white then green and finish with red and just love the mirror ...

Re: Are Kershaw flipper open knives legal in Pennsylvania ?
Hello I am too from Pa. As far as I can tell from researching Pa rules for knife carry. Stay away from switch blades and any form of mechanical assisted knives plus double edged dagger. As I believe them all to be outlawed by state code. Flippers unassisted by spring are fine as far as I can still t...

Re: Any Kershaw fans out there?
Hello I'm new to this forum. I'd like to say I have many different Kershaw knives in my collection. I own many brands both custom and factory made from all over the world. But Kershaw and Buck dominate the factory edges as I consider them both some of the very best money can buy in factory knives. T...
