2010 SHOT SHOW LSTs

Finally ran across somebody willing to part with these. Made and available only in 2010 and only at the SHOT SHOW. G-10 handles and signed by Pete. They're just a little heavier than the Zytel, and about the hardest ones to come by. Been looking for 6-7 years, nthis is the third digicam I've seen for...

Re: Gerber History

Hi guys & gals, I'm new here, but I've been a fan of Gerber Legendary Blades since almost forever. I bought my first one in the early-mid '70s, a Sportsman II, and carried it until it was lost in the Williamson River doing battle with a large rainbow trout, sometime around 1994. (A long sad sto...

Just can't get it

If y'all didn't know, I like the Gerber LST. I've got a couple or four. The first knife I actually fell in love with (if there is such a thing. Heard it was legal to marry your horse or gun in Texas, or your sister in Alabama. All that's for another day) There's quite a few that are hard to find. I'...

Re: Gerber History

To my knowledge, the brass and wood knives are all lockbacks and are Gerber's folding sportsman line of knives made from the early 70s to the mid 90s. The PK series of four knives we're stainless and wood with brass liners made fithe mid 70s to early 80a The Skookum was the first in the PK series. T...

MICARTA LST

I recently aquired two early ivory Micarta LSTs. The FS has been used, but tin very good shape. Came with the box and paperwork. IMG_20181015_231330334~2.jpg The Classic is just that. First year in the box with paperwork. About as perfect as you can get. IMG_20181015_231049443~2.jpg I always think I...

I ran into a feller that had a bunch of old table knives he had reshaped similar to what you have done. He had made them into different shapes, clip, spear, drop point, wharncliffe, etc..

$2 Case butcher knife

Got this Case butcher knife some time ago at the jotemdown store. If I remember right, it was$2. From the looks of it, somebody had a field day with a little bit of everything trying to sharpen it. The hickory handle was just about to the point of not saving. Dishwashers are good, but not on knives....

What would you have done?

And I'd really like to know. Here's a 50¢ Carvel Hall steak knife. Or used to be. Now it's something that's not a steak knife. I found it at the jotemdown store (my middle daughters great grandpaw called Goodwill and stores like em that, kinda stuck with me). The tip was gone, other than that it was...

1947 Gerber Legendary Blades/ Snickersnee Ron Durendal

According to all information I've found (especially Mr. Rodenberg's book A Chronology of Gerber Legendary Blades), this set shouldn't exist. The Durendal and Ron made their first appearance in 47, but Gerber didn't make the Snickersnee until 1948, making it GERBER-10 stamped If anybody has informati...

A hoss of a knife. The sheaths designed to carry it folded or open (the bolt action more or less makes it a fixed blade in the open/locked position). I believe a couple of companies still use Blackies design to this day (could be mistaken). Not lucky enough to have one, but I've got one or three Bol...

Awesome looking knife!! Haven't got ahold of one yet (they come in fine edge too) but I have heard really good stuff about them. The only thing about this one and some of Gerber's newer offerings- the wire pocketclip. I personally think it looks like a cheap afterthought. I have a couple of Milwauke...
