Re: 17 Case Knives on Ebay Australia (Rare???)
The price is in Aussie $ , its just under 6000 US, somewhere around 350 a knife or so. Mammoth ivory is not inexpensive. If someone wanted this set, I think it is a pretty fair price. I would want more photos for that kind of money though, and maybe a discount for bulk purchase. ; )

Re: Info on value of 5 Case Classics with same serial number
These knives were sold by smokey mountain knife works. You would "subscribe"(for lack of a better word) and receive the same serial number as each was released. I would put the value at 70-90 +/- for the bone, with the stag higher. It's nice for the collector to have the matching serial #'s...

The knives with the year stamped on the tangs are Case Classics I believe. If my memory serves correct, they were a Smokey Mt. knife works released Case Classic.

If the knife begins with an 8, I would think it is not a Case Classic. Case Classic designation for celluloid was 7.I think a photo would help much with identification.

Re: CASE 5223 TESTED XX CASE BRADFORE PA. BLUE GRASS CUTLERY
In many cases, there were no Certificates included with the knife. I bought many Case Classics as they were released , that didn't include the COA. If your knife is mint and unused, it will get a couple hundred I think.

I can't answer your question, but if you post this in the case forum, you will probably get a better response.

You cant level those kind of acccusations towards someone, mention them by name, and when they respond (calmly and friendly) lock it and then delete it???? WTH???::shrug:: I just dont get it. Does not seem fair to me. If someone posts some potentially damaging comments, and mentions someone and the...

The one with the WR Case etch is in the book. There were 269 pieces made. The shield seems right. You are right, short runs, a lot of times ,have no pattern #'s .

Re: Why Has GEC Knives Fallen Off the Cliff?
This forum used to be much busier than it is now, that is true. GEC was a new company, something new is always going to garner more interest, simply because its new. A slowdown of the forum was inevitable in my opinion. But do I think GEC has fallen off a cliff? No. IMO they make the best knife for ...
