Very nice new S & M. To trade
I have a new, never used, never carried, never sharpened, S&M sway trapper 1 of 20 rams horn scales. With origin box. Beautiful knife. I want to trade for GEC 15 series with bone handles or similar.

Re: Ruminations On The Congress Pattern
I just bought a fighting rooster 4 blade with really nice stage handles. I don't like it because it is an absolute bear to get open, and the big blades are set up to be opened with your left hand. Seems like a left hand version. Are all them set up like that?

If I wanted to search the stores for a particular item such as all Bowie knives, how would I do that? I thought there was a way to do that.

Re: Lots of knives have bottle openers.........
Thanks again Mike. I would still be looking if you hadn't got me on the right trail!
And I know it's a little shiny and flashy but after the glow has worn down a bit I can always send it to one of the mechanics here and get the handles changed out. Buffalo horn might look good on a Beer Scout!

Re: Fish knife, aka
Made sometime between 1946 and 1973, most of these ended up in the bottom of a lake or rusted in the keel of a boat. This one is sparking clean with very nice yellow handles with no cracks.

Fish knife, aka
Schrade Walden fish knife, aka Texas toothpick, aka Kansas toad sticker.
This very nice example has a perfect hook sharpener, fish bone saw, hook remover with a magnetic tip, and a straightener!

That was the problem... I lost so many of them it was like dating a stripper. I could never find them when I wanted them.

Multi tools have knives too
Here is my newest
Gerber crucial, all the tools and blade have liner locks. Typical razor sharp blade.
Down side, Gerber wire cutters do not bypass, much more play than the skeletool and weighs more.
Overall I like the Leatherman better.

Ok so here is a Hen and Rooster. Voracious walk and talk with hard half stops. Came from Germany with gnarly handles and polished blades.

Re: Who doesn't like stockman knives!
I have a couple of those Camillus 89 knives. One of my all time favorites. They’re the same size as the CASE 6375, my all time favorite. Truth be told there are some things I like about the Camillus better than the CASE. Great knives. It’s a shame someone else doesn’t pick up the pattern. Gotta lov...
