Also I'm not familiar with the 855, but if it's an 858 I'm interested in that as well. Thanks.

In addition to the similar Stag, they were both made in 1987. Not of the same series though.

Re: Hen and Rooster congress??

I've never seen a congress knife with all metal handles and certainly not a Hen & Rooster so constructed. ::shrug:: Thanks guys. We had another discussion and decided that her dad probably modified a damaged knife by adding homemade scales. He was certainly talented enough to have done that. Bu...

Re: Rough Riders!

I probably have around twenty RRs and I'm really impressed with them. My favorite pattern of theirs is their sowbelly. Extremely well engineered and put together, plus very handsome to boot.

Hen and Rooster congress??

Back in her younger days, my wife's father gave her a large (4" closed?) Hen & Rooster congress with stainless steel handles, which she lost. I would like to get another one for her but I haven't been able to locate any information on that particular pattern. Any ideas? ::shrug::

Yes, I've read several names for this one. There was even something like a Lady Buck or some other feminine name.

There are a lot of amazing replies in this thread. Please keep it coming. Here is a photo of my collection of various Schrades, mostly Old Timers and Uncle Henrys. I've added a few pieces since this was taken. But you can see I have a long ways to go.
