It’s possible or not…hard to say. I’m not familiar with Winchester sorry. A lot of companies made these.Desert Golfer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 08, 2021 7:17 pm This Vintage Winchester of mine has Celluloid Handles that look Very Similar to your Knife. Were they made by the same manufacturer?

Re: Finally got a real nice one
Gene MOP is always nice to find but especially in the older ones what a score! According to the brochure there were two 762, 4.5” and 5.5” blade. Which is yours? Here are my two”ticklers”. KA-BAR on one side and Union Cutlery on the other. They have brass liners and appear to be nickel silver bolste...

Re: Tidioute Cutlery
Personally, I don't think Union razor had anything to do with the Tidioute Cutlery Co. In David Anthony's book "Tidioute a Town With an Edge" he states that Levi Heath was one of the founders of Tidioute Cutlery. Based on directories at that time in 1903 WR Brown was the President of the ...

Tidioute Cutlery
Good morning folks. Here's an interesting one for you. The reading/research that I've done on the Tidioute Cutlery company was fairly easy...the Browns ran the newly formed Union Razor company and The Tidioute Cutlery company until 1906 when everything changed to Union Razor. When I bought this knif...

Re: Ka-bar 80s Stag history
HI: i enjoyed your post about the Stag Line of kabars. i have all of these knives, but there are two more that were in the line, the 1190 (jumbo jack) and the 1194 (canoe). The 1198 (two blade folding hunter) i got came with its original box and paperwork and the paperwork mentions there were 6 kni...

This blade is in near mint condition, just grand. The box also. I bought the box and knew I had to find the knife since that’s what was in it. Now to find more. Interesting thing about the box is that it has the UNION in NA symbol along with KA-BAR.

Kabar stag trapper
So I picked this one up knowing it wasn’t “REAL” but man oh man it is a gorgeous knife. Both blades are stamped KA-BAR which I’ve never seen. The pin placement is the same as my other trappers and the stag is also the same. The shield I have no idea. I’ve searched other trappers online and in my dra...

Re: What is the history of the OLCUT knife?
Dan, Levine's and Goins are both incorrect on both brands. In my Union Cut Co price lists Olcut is in my 1928 (oldest so far found) and in the 1937 price list. Olcut is not in the 1938 price list. Keenwell or sometimes Keenwel is not listed in the 1928 price list but is in the 1938 and 1940 lists. ...

What is the history of the OLCUT knife?
Hi everyone. I keep seeing people post that their knife stamped OLCUT is from 1910-1920. I've seen OLCUT with a stamp and it has a star at the beginning and end of the word and some that doesn't have any star. Is there anything definitive on when OLCUT or KEENWELL came around and also when it went a...

Re: KA- BAR
Probably in the mid 70s from my research. There is a list floating around showing models and issue date/price but I can't find mine right now and it's accuracy is questionable. When Cole bought Kabar back then they started adding model numbers...late 60s.

Union Cutlery contract knives - Griffon XX
My friend and I did a trade and I got two knives one being this dogs head Griffon XX. I'm posting this to show it but also to get some discussion about the knife. I had a fellow knife person question if the blade has been replaced and also that Union Cutlery wouldn't put someone else's name on their...

Re: Kabar Dolphin Origin?
Most if not all Kabar Collector Club knives were made by Queen. The Dolphins, there were two, were the first offerings to club members in 1989. The green was the standard issue and the red with etched blade was the second and was limited to 500 knives. As with all dual club offerings you could buy t...

Also picked this Olcut up from the same dealer as the Western G46-6 posted earlier today on the Western forum. Just would like to know what there is to learn about it. Model number or name, era of production, those sorts of things. Pretty nice shape with a full blade, Kabar sheath but don't know if...

Re: Kabar tang stamps
I have been trying to put together a time line for Ka-Bar tang stamps. There are some charts out there, but they are very broad. i just got this folding hunter with the KABAR in small case letters. what is interesting is that most references shave seen show this tang stamp as in the 1960's. it coul...

Re: Kabar tang stamps
Hello fellow Ka-Bar and Vintage Knife Collectors. I have an older Ka-Bar knife that’s still in its Factory original box and dust cover too. I’ve looked at Tang Stamp charts and it looks like my knife was made in the 1920’s, but I’m nit absolutely positive, and I don’t want to market it for sale inc...

Re: Old UNION stamp transition knife
Nothing transitional about this one Dan. The NA stamp is never seen on secondary blades, always the UCCO which was used right through the KAA-BAR mark until the very late 30s when they dropped stamping the secondary blade. Sweet little knife!! I think I may have the same model in pearl. Thank you G...

Old UNION stamp transition knife
Hi folks I have owned a couple of CASE transition knives in my collection. The companies wanted to use everything up prior to moving into the next year. For example I’ve had a small stockman with one blade 8dots and one blade ten dots, for example. I’m pretty sure Union Cutlery did the same. Here is...
