Re: Questions about a two blade Eagle Knife Co. Pocket Knife

Thanks Eric! Great information! I checked all the AAPK threads before I posted my photos. There was not a lot of information about the Eagle Knife Co. to be found. Very useful information! Thanks again

Questions about a two blade Eagle Knife Co. Pocket Knife

I recently acquired this Eagel Knife Co. two blade knife pocket knife. I have a second Eagel knife (single blade) I purchased a long time ago, next to it for comparison. I know the Eagle Knife Co. was only in business from 1916-1919 so these knives are not very common and difficult to find. I have n...

Re: Question about Schrade-Wostenholm

Thanks for the photos and the link! It clearly shows my knife has replacement blades. The scales and bolsters are good but someone put in 3 replacement blades. I have to say, the replacement blades have great snap, tight lockup, and no blade play at all! Also, they are razor sharp. However, the nail...

Re: Question about Schrade-Wostenholm

I agree about the blades. The nail pulls don't look right. The blades are extremely tight and very sharp. Clearly, the tangs have been ground leaving only a "T" on each blade. I wish I had a model of the same knife to compare the blades. I would like to know the correct tang stamp for that...

Question about Schrade-Wostenholm

I recently acquired this Schrade Wostenhold stockman. The blade etch is long gone. All three blade tangs are stamped with the letter "T" There is no other identification on the tangs. The bolster stamp is the only identification. Does anyone know why the tangs only have a letter 'T" a...

Re: An Very Unusual Blue Wire Jack

Well that's interesting! Your model has the exact same blue as my Gold Medal Cracker Advertising model. Of course, I cleaned off the blue paint and painted the insert yellow exactly like the one Skip posted. I have the before and after photos. It would appear that there are Wire Jack's that are pain...

Re: An Very Unusual Blue Wire Jack

I agree Skip. I've never seen a Wire Jack that was not yellow, red, or green. Also, I've never seen the frame painted. I think your Gold Medal with yellow insert is conclusive. The blue paint job is professional. It appears to be air brushed. I plan to remove the blue paint and restore the knife to ...

Re: TL-29 Electricians Knives

I had a request from Skip to post the photos of my Colonial Electricians Knife. I posted the knife originally because I was amazed by the quality of the knife. Typically, Colonial is known for economy knives frequently with shell handle constructon. However, my Colonial has exceptional quality. Ther...

An Very Unusual Blue Wire Jack

I picked up this early Wire Jack. It has the Wire Jack stamp, Gold Metal Cracker blade etching, and the 9/21/26 patent date. The frame and insert are blue. I have never seen a painted frame and I have never seen the color blue on a Wire Jack.. The Glen Davis collection photos have red, green, yellow...

Colonial Electrican Knife with great quality!

I obtained this Colonial 3-Blade Electrician's Knife on eBay. It's common knowledge that Colonial knives are mostly an economy line and not of the best quality. The majority of Colonial knives I've handle over the years are shell handle construction. That's why I was blow away by the quality of the ...

Robeson Demonstrator 511124 Big Daddy Barlow

I saw this Robeson Demonstrator for sale on eBay. I could not locate the pattern number of 511124 in my data sheets. Also, the pile side tang is stamped 2003. I have no idea what that number represents. The bolster has the RCC stamp. The blade is etched "Suredge TradeMark." The pile side b...

Thanks guy! Just not much out there on this one. A very obscure knife and most likely a company that was not in business for very long.

J. Hall Bradford Pocket Knife

Anyone know anything about J. Hall Bradford Pocket Knives? I know this is a very obscure brand. I looked it up in Goins' and only the name is listed with no information. I saw this one for sale on Ebay.

National Cutlery Works

Does anyone know anything about National Cutlery Works? I saw one for sale on eBay and I couldn't find any information about them. I checked Goins' and hes only states c. 1910-1930. Also, states National Cutlery Works Germany for the same time period. Clearly, only in business for 20 years so they a...

Re: Who is making Novelty Knife Co. pocket knives currently?

Thank you so much! I couldn't find anything about the current maker of Novelty Knife Brand! I see them all the time for sale on eBay. Sometimes they do have a U.S.A. stamp on the tang so I guess some of them are made in the U.S. However, it appears most of them are outsourced overseas. Also, I notic...

Who is making Novelty Knife Co. pocket knives currently?

This is my second attempt to find out information about Novelty Pocket Knives. I think I worded my first message incorrectly and got no responses. It's a slight mystery. I know the history of The Novelty Cultery company. They were in business from 1879 to 1948. However, there are lots of Novelty poc...

Novelty Cutlery Co. & Novelty Knife Co. difference?

According to Goins' the Novelty Cutlery Company was started by Agustus Vignos in 1879. The company went out of business in 1948. I see a lot of Novelty Knife Company knives for sale on eBay and they are definitely 1970s vintage. Apparently both companies are confused as the same company. Is there an...

Re: Robeson Permalube Oilles Bearing

Thank you so much for the information! Yes, any photos of different models would be great even if it's not a complete list. The only one I've seen come up for sale was about 4 years ago. It was on eBay and mis-indentifed with a very poor quality photo. Also, the seller had no idea what he was sellin...
