Re: Boker Solingen tang stamps
Shoulda given a pic before... That’s a genuine recent production made in Solingen Germany. Beer barrel covers c75 carbon steel blades. Great knives. There what I call real Boker’s . Unlike the China parts “ Tree Brands “ with the Germany shield and are stamped “ high carbon stainless “ Thanks EBM, ...

Help with Remington trapper ID
Morning folks, I picked up this green bone full size trapper the other day. It is unlike any Remington trapper I have ever seen. It has the Camillus era tang stamps but different blade grinds than an R12. I thought it might be a Bear but it differs from their knives too by bolsters, grinds and pins....

Boker Solingen tang stamps
Evening folks, I remember reading one time that Solingen has real strict rules governing putting Solingen on a knife. I got a Boker trapper and it is stamped.
H. Boker
& co
Solingen
But it is obviously newer. Were they imitated by china using a Solingen stamp? Thanks, mp

Re: My Latest Boker
I have several Boker electricians. These knives get razor sharp so easily and are fun knives. I picked this up recently here on the AAPK store. An electician of a different color. Re handled in blue bone, Solingen and in really nice shape. Love it.

Old Buck fixed belt loop repair
Evening folks, I have a single line Buck 105 that the thread is coming loose at the belt loop seam of the flap over loop. It is about 3" deep in the pocket and fairly tight of an area. I figure a curved needle and perhaps some type of "threader" maybe made from stainless leader might ...

Schrade Walden USA (Taylor)
Evening folks, I have 2 of these knives. A bone trapper I've had for a while and a blue bone trapper I piced up in today in trade. The fit on both is good. Open smoothly, have good snap and no gaps. I noticed immediately the finish on the damascus knife was better. Smoother and no variations in fini...

Re: BUCK Alpha Hunter Folder w/No Model Stamp??
In the late 90's/early 00's there were several knives with no model number. I heave several 475 that are like that. Not saying that is the reason yours is like that, but it happened. If this pic shows up and you zoom in you'll see that. No custom stamp on some too.

Re: Tang stamps: Confused
Howdy jerry, With buck, answers are alway iffy. tmk, They were using composites in the 40's. The first 112 was micarta in '72. Old English was used until late '85 when fineblank block blades hit. I've read where the dot was continued for only a month or two in '86. Date stamps started in 86, but not...
